The whole body
We are fully committed to our philosophy of delivering high-quality Pilates. This is why we have a low ratio of two-clients-to-one-teacher and a longer 75-minute session, in contrast with the 60-minute sessions at most studios. Our work is about detail and constant refinement to harness the natural power of your whole body; it will enable you to experience what we call the “internal mechanism” of Pilates exercises.
The secret ingredient
The “internal mechanism” is unlocked through a process of constant refinement; it is a journey that you will take with your teacher to discover how to improve your body’s functionality. It is the key – whatever your goal, whatever your age – to unlocking your movement potential and to restoring your body to its natural balance, strength and flexibility. It will enable you to achieve a healthy, well-balanced body and a happy mind.
Real lasting power
The “internal-mechanism” teaches you to work from the inside; it has been developed over the past 38 years and, year-by-year, evolves new movements, new techniques, and new ways of thinking about health and fitness to provide new and innovative ways of helping our clients get the very best from their time with us. This is what makes Trevor Blount Pilates special and gives it real and lasting power.
Based in fashionable South Kensington, the studio has been at the forefront of developing modern Pilates for more than 38 years. It has earned a reputation for excellence and is one of London’s most highly regarded studios. What makes Trevor and his team exceptional and different from other Pilates teachers is their complete understanding of how to use Pilates in a way that is sympathetic to each individual’s anatomical structure.
We are open seven days a week, and work with people of all ages and from all walks of life; whether you are new to Pilates or a trained athlete we have something interesting for you. If you want to tone and regain your body shape after childbirth or need to support your body though pregnancy, we can help you.
If you have chronic pain, an injury, or have had surgery and need help getting back to health, we specialise in using Pilates for rehabilitation. If you want to improve your posture or simply just do some exercise and get more toned and feel better, we can help. In fact, we can adapt to every need and every age.
